About Us
Classic Chevys of Reno got started in 1979 with a small group of people who loved Tri-Five Chevys. Our club has gone through many changes over the years but one thing always remains - our members love of Classic Chevys. We encourage the restoration and preservation of 1955, 1956 & 1957 Chevrolets as well as all classic cars. Our membership is largely Chevy owners but we do have members that own classics other than Chevys and we even have members that don’t even own a classic car!
We have always been a chapter of “Classic Chevy International” which has now become “Eckler’s Classic Chevy International”. We have hosted several conventions in Reno over the years for this organization. Club members also travel to other locations for the yearly conventions.
Our club produces a yearly car show, “Classic in Paradise,” which is held at the Atlantis Casino in Reno in June. We also participate in local and long-distance car shows, local parades, the Adopt-A-Car program at the National Automobile Museum and THE event of the year, Hot August Nights. We have monthly meetings and usually at least one social event each month.
We are proud to be one of the longest running car clubs in Reno. Visitors are always welcome at our monthly meetings. Come check us out!
